<<GOOD NEWS> On 01 June 2016 Donegal Council confirmed that the site is now complete, meaning that all houses are now available to be purchased using a mortgage. All roads are now paved and covered in tarmac, drains are clear and efficient, all street lights are in and working and the pavements are also complete. In addition to the work that you can see, we have completed the construction of a large water attenuator which will control thousands of gallons of water in the event of a flood (even though the site is already on a hill!) The council have also agreed to maintain this attenuator and no yearly maintenance costs will be borne by any current or future residents.
There are now only a few houses left for private purchase. History of the site
Stracomer Hill Estate, is situated off Tullen Strand Road, Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland - a few hundred yards from Bundoran's iconic Tullen Strand beach with its protected Sand Dunes.
There are 43 Houses on the estate that were originally built from 2006 to 2008. In that time 18 were sold and have been inhabited since that time. The remainder, although wind and water-tight, remained unsold and unoccupied due to the financial crash of 2008.
In 2014, the remaining houses were bought by us - Stracomer Hill (Developments) Limited and are presently being refurbished and made ready to sell.
The Company had a financial Bond with the local council to ensure that all the things that you cannot see - waste water pipes for example - are all intact and working. This Bond also ensured that the roads and pavements were all complete to local regulations..
The roads and infrastructure are now being continually upgraded and maintained, new working street lights have recently been erected along with new pavements and fences. The common grass were cleared of all building debris and were seeded with new grass which has now been growing and being maintained for over 5 years.
All refurbished houses are finished to a high internal standard with oak flooring and doors, underfloor heating, all have en-suite rooms, internal vacuum system, Bose sound systems, double glazing and are incredibly efficient in terms of heating. All houses have gardens and off-road parking on a quiet cul-de-sac estate that is perfect for families.
